Leave is accrued at the rate of 3.5 calendar days per month totaling to 42 calendar days per year including travel time. Married Status - one interim leave per year of 12 calendar days including travel. Provided - Least cost economy class round trip excursion, air ticket via most direct route from point of origin to Kuwait. Cash – in – lieu of airfare may be given, based on current market rate. • Accompanied excess baggage allowance of 20Kg or 1 extra piece (as applicable) will be provided for employee and each eligible dependent for expatriation and repatriation trips. • Travel allowance of 10% of the applicable airfare will be provided for employee and each eligible dependent.

JOB SUMMARY
To direct and supervise the fire engineering activities at the ESC main and sub centers, and/or other Oil sector locations as needed to ensure that the statutory local and international codes and standards are considered and adhered to for fire and emergency installations and activities and to provide the technical support in regard to fire and emergency to ESC, OSSC, KPC and K- Companies as needed.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Directs, plans and organizes the activities of technical fire and emergency engineering support at EDS and/or at other areas as needed, as to be matching with the overall fire and emergency plans of OSSC as well as KPC management systems.
b) Prepares/upgrades the ESC – and/or other Oil Sector locations as needed – fire and emergency vision, message, policy as well as regulations and related instructions, and raises such documents for revising/approval.
c) Reviews/amends prepared/current specifications of fire and emergency systems equipments/appliances to improve quality, performance and operability
d) Approves the testing programs, schedules, forms and tool list for fire and emergency systems and installations, revises test results, and takes necessary remedial actions.
e) Sets programs for risk assessment, hazard spotting and auditing of ESC and/or other Oil Sector assigned areas as needed – from the emergency/fire prevention fire protection and fire fighting point of view, and also checking and inspection of fire arrangements and follow up the activities to ensure proper implementation.
f) Chairs- as required – assigned committees/ task forces for investigating major incidents such as fire, explosion, or heavy release of toxic materials.
g) Revises the tender documents of new projects to ensure the efficiency and sufficiency and sufficiency of fire and emergency arrangements either for the project systems/installations, or during construction.
h) Sets programs for material management from the fire prevention/fire fighting/emergency point of view.
i) Coordinates with other governmental departments in all matters related to fire and emergency engineering and participates in the relevant committees formed for such sakes.
j) Provides technical advices to ESC/OSSC, KPC and K – companies departments and sections as needed.
k) Assumes full responsibility for the role as envisaged by the KPC’s Helath, safety & Environment management system (HSEMS).
l) Ensures good housekeeping and adherence to Health, Safety & Environment policies, rules and regulations.
m) Carries out other related duties as directed.
WORK CONTACTS:
External:
• Has a frequent contact with technical staff of governmental departments, insurance companies, vendors, visitors, conference members, and contractors for discussions coordination, and clarification.
Internal:
• Has a daily contact with ESC as well OSSC, KPC and K- companies officials from Sr.Engineer and TL level up to manager level for technical discussions, coordination, planning, problem solving, budget, regulatory issues etc.
INDEPENCDENCE OF OPERATION:
• Works according to established fire and emergency procedures, local and internal codes and standards, and engineering practices, occasionally subjected to review by supervisor.

PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Office & field jobs, requires filed work to study and solves the technical issues on site assess the fire and rescue services propose the project requirements, attends technical mfgs, etc. Spend on average 3-4 hours per day standing, walking and driving.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Spends on an average up to 4hrs per day exposed to hazardous work environment comprising of heat, humidity toxic gases, fumes, noises etc.
